Everyone on Earth does it. It happens in between the end of the day and the new day. Everyone sleeps. But… how do people in Space sleep? This explanation will explain how Astronauts sleep, what they sleep in and where they sleep.
The first thing to know about sleeping in Space is, where the Astronauts sleep. They sleep in a one person a sleep station. The sleep Stations are located at Node 2. The original plan was to have everyone on the Space Station on bunkbeds, avenchly as the Space Station changed the bunkbed idea was changed to, the one man sleep station and that is how the sleep Station came to be. Now it is time to find out what the Astronauts sleep in.
It’s time to find out what Astronauts sleep in. They sleep a sleeping bag tied to the wall of the sleep station. This sleeping bag has holes in it, so when the Astronauts go to sleep it’s like putting a t shirt on. The sleeping bag is tied to the wall so it doesn't float around, in the sleep station and keep the person awake for the 8 hours for sleep each one of the Astronauts has. The final thing to know is how the Astronauts sleep.
Finally it time to find out how they sleep. It is not like sleeping down on Earth, it a wee bit different. With zero gravity they don’t need anything to hold them up. They just relax every muscle in there body, and let their arms float up. That is every thing to know about sleeping in space.
In conclusion Astronauts sleep in a sleeping bag tied the wall, in a sleep Station and the only things they have to do is let there arms float up and close their eyes. It has been a blast sharing these facts. Thanks for reading and sleep well. :)
