Bleeding nose

This week in Room 5 we have written about our holiday. But we made it differently, we had to include one thing we have during the holidays and one made up thing. We also gave ourselves different names. We wrote a story and then put it in a storyboard.

Persuasive writing house writing

Just so My teacher knew what I am capable of in writing, she asked us to write about a picture. Here it is.

In my opinion this house is absolutely legendary because there is an awesome view, its private and I can have lots of animals. Let's get started.

Firstly, I believe that I should live here because the view is amazing picture this, it's the end of a long day, you just want to sit down and enjoy the nice view, but you can’t when you are in the city. Living here the sunset would be incredible.

Secondly, it is private. You have no neighbours so you can do what you want without anyone to criticise you. For example, if you decided to have a helicopter, you can’t disturb anyone.

Finally, you can have lots of animals. If you wanted you could have as many different colored chickens as you what, maybe a horse or two. The possibilities are endless.

In conclusion I believe that I should live here because the view is amazing, it is private and you can have so many animals.

Persuasive writing about the great walk

This term room 5 has been learning about the great walk and persuasive writing. we have taken sides according to whether we liked it or did not. I think it is a bad idea. Here is why.

I believe that the great walk is a disgusting idea. I believe this because, it will damage the fragile environment, it will cost a lot of money and there will be more accidents. Let's get started.

My first reason for the great walk being a bad idea, is that it will damage the fragile environment. The equipment going up will damage it, the diggers going up will run over the native plants. The way people will get up to the top is going on a helicopter and the wind of the pipalers will bend and snap native plants and trees. Some tourists don’t know about how important the environment is so, they will liter and that will harm the native plants and animals.

Secondly, the great walk will cost a lot of money. The exact amount it will cost is $11 million dollars! That is a lot of money coming out of people pays, the taxes will go through the rofe. The cost to stay in the huts is just stuped, yes I know that children (under 17) are free (still need to book) but… adults (18 plus) cost $45 dollars per night. Now that's just outrageous.

Finally. There will be more accidents because of the great walk. All of the traffic would raise the chans of cashing by a lot. Ok, imagine your walking on the trak and you need to go to the toilet, where do you go, is it to go off the track? If you go off the track you might go to far off and you would and get lost. The trak is going to be very step so, people on bikes will just zoom down and hit people hiking up. This will happen because the track is to narrow so bikers will be crashing more.

In conclusion, I believe that the great walk is a terrible idea because it will damage the fragile environment, it will cost a lot of money and there will be more accidents. So I hope that if you share my opinion now and if you still don’t, I hope you know why I think the great walk is a bad idea.
